In addition to IP address whitelisting, Basic Authentication, and OAuth2, WSO2 API Cloud now supports Digest Authentication for communications between API Gateway and backend. Getting it to work is as simple as picking Digest Auth option from Endpoint Auth Type dropbox at the second step of API definition (Implement):
