What types of training does WSO2 offer?
WSO2 offers both self-paced and instructor-led training. Self-paced courses are available through the WSO2 Online Training Platform. Instructor-led training can be customized for your specific needs and delivered onsite or online. For more information, visit here.

How do I access the WSO2 Online Training Platform and training courses?

Who can access Sales Enablement courses and certifications?
Sales Enablement courses and certifications are exclusively available to WSO2 employees as well as employees of WSO2 Partner Organizations.
How do I access the Sales Enablement courses on the Online Training Platform?
For partners: Log in to the platform, find the course in the catalog, and click Request Access. We'll review and approve your request within two to three working days after verification.
For WSO2 employees: Switch to the internal branch from the menu bar at the top of the screen to access the courses.

Certification FAQs
Who can take a certification exam?
Anyone with good working knowledge of a WSO2 product can attempt certification. Prior training or hands-on experience is recommended.
What types of certifications does WSO2 offer?
WSO2 offers multiple certification types across different products and expertise levels. You can find detailed information about the available certifications here.
I have registered for the exam; what happens next?
The exam will be activated within 2–3 working days. Instructions will be emailed to you upon activation. You must review the examination guidelines before starting any certification exam.
Are exams proctored?
Yes. Exams are taken online and remotely proctored. You must:
- Be in a quiet, distraction-free room.
- Show a 360° view of your environment before starting.
- Use a webcam (focused on you throughout).
- Record your screen and webcam using an approved tool.
- Use only one screen (multiple monitors are not allowed).
Can I use online resources during the exam?
The exam is partially open-book. You may use WSO2 documentation, the WSO2 Online Training Platform, pages from wso2.com, and pages linked through these sources during the exam, provided they comply with our examination guidelines.
Can I use AI tools or search engines during the exam?
No, the use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude), search engines (e.g., Google), or any external resources is strictly prohibited. You may use a translation tool if required.
How many attempts do I get?
Each exam level allows two attempts within 30 days of activation. If unsuccessful after two attempts, you must wait one month before re-registering.
What is the passing score?
- Practitioner, Developer, Expert, and Architect certifications – 70%
- Sales certifications – 80%
How long are certifications valid, or when do they expire?
- Product certifications – Valid for the specific major product version and do not expire. When a new major version is released, you can choose to take the certification for that version.
- Solutions Architect – two years
- Sales – one year
- Choreo – one year
What happens after my certification expires or when a newer version is released before it expires?
You can attempt the latest available version of the certification at any time. If you pass a newer version before your current certification expires, the older one will be deactivated, and only the new certification will remain active. This rule applies to all certifications with expiration dates.
Are certifications tied to a specific version?
Certifications are valid for all minor versions within a major release. Example: WSO2 Certified API Manager 4 covers all 4.x versions.
How can I reschedule or extend my certification exam?
You can request an extension through the certification portal. This option becomes available two to three days before your certification is set to expire. All exams can be extended for up to 14 days, except for Expert exams, which can be extended for up to three days.
How do I qualify for the Solutions Architect Associate certification?
You must complete at least two Developer-level certifications in different products, each on the latest version, before registering for this certification.
How do I qualify for Expert certification?
You must complete the relevant Developer certification before registering for the Expert certification.
What do the Expert Practical exams include?
You must complete two practical exams to obtain this certification. Expert exams require completing use-case–based practical tasks within a set timeframe. Use cases are drawn from the prerequisites outlined on the certification page. For your submission, you must provide an Answer Sheet containing a screenshot for each question.
How long will my exam recordings be retained?
You are required to provide WSO2 with access to recordings for non-expert exams for up to seven days, and for expert exams until you complete the certification. WSO2 thoroughly reviews exam recordings to ensure fairness and maintain high standards of exam integrity.
Can I share WSO2 examination material?
No, you are not allowed to copy, share, or modify WSO2 exam content in any form. Doing so violates WSO2's copyright and may result in failing the exam and being barred from future certifications.
Can I verify my or someone else's certification?
Yes, certifications can be verified at certification.wso2.com.
