Last updated: April 29th, 2025
Before Registering for an Exam:
Make sure you do not use multiple email accounts to register. If you already have a certification account or a WSO2 account, be sure to use that.
You will be required to wait at least 2 working days till your exam is activated from the date of registration. Until then, please refrain from re-registering. You will receive the necessary details to attempt the exam via email.
The exam will be valid for 30 days from the date it is activated, make sure you complete it within the allotted time period.
Before Starting the Exam:
Make sure to read through the instruction email you receive on activation of the exam.
You must not use a shared or publicly used computer to take the exam. The exam must be completed on a personal device to ensure security and integrity.
Both your screen and webcam output must be recorded using a screen recording tool (e.g., OBS Studio, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.) before you start the exam, and the recording must continue throughout the entire exam session.
The recording of the webcam output should be visible in the screen recording throughout the exam. Do not hide or minimize it.
All unnecessary programs should be closed before the exam.
You are not allowed to use more than one screen/device throughout the exam. Eye/head movements will be monitored throughout the recordings for such scenarios to make sure that you are not using multiple screens/devices.
You may use a softcopy of notes that you have created for the examination. These notes should be shared on your screen in full view of the examiner. However, you may not refer to any hardcopies of notes. These notes should not contain any previous WSO2 examination material.
Short notes must not contain answers, configurations, or materials from previous exam attempts or other candidates' exam attempts.
You may use the internet to search for answers during the examination, as this is an open-book test. However, you may not collaborate with any third party or get any information from any individuals except for the examiner.
Your PC or desktop must not contain any screen recordings or answer sheets from other participants who may have used the same machine for their exam prior to your attempt.
While Doing the Exam:
You are not allowed to collaborate with anyone during the exam, and you must be alone in the room throughout the session.
Taking screenshots, printing, or saving any part of the examination material (e.g., the exam paper) is strictly prohibited. Screenshots may only be taken of results or configuration changes if required or explicitly stated in the exam paper, must be added to the answer sheet, and deleted once the exam is completed.
Once you begin your examination, you are not allowed to leave your seat, use mobile devices to browse, call, send messages (unless it’s an emergency) or use social media or any other unrelated programs, until you have submitted the exam.
The use of any AI tool is prohibited during the exam. (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard)
After Completing the Exam:
Recordings must be submitted within 24 hours of completing the exam, along with the answer sheet if applicable, regardless of whether the candidate passes or fails. Failure to submit the recording within the given timeframe may result in a failing grade or a ban from attempting any WSO2 certifications.
You are not allowed to share any type of examination material with any party other than WSO2 (e.g., answer sheets and screen recordings).
For Expert-level exams, you may retain exam files such as the screen recording and answer sheet until the papers are graded, and delete them afterward.
For all other exams, please ensure that screen recordings are deleted after 7 days from both your device and any cloud storage they were uploaded to.
What the WSO2 Training and Certification Team Does to Ensure a High Quality of Service:
Exam recordings are thoroughly monitored to ensure that the exam candidates complete the exam ethically.
WSO2 retains the right to modify the examination result of any exam candidate at any time if necessary.
Exam candidates will be assigned a rating depending on their behavior and activities during the certification process.
WSO2 reserves the right to take action in cases of suspected cheating. If WSO2 determines that a candidate has cheated, engaged in suspicious activity, or there is reasonable doubt of cheating, we retain the right to modify grades and impose a ban.
If anyone is found cheating, benefits such as promo codes will be disabled, and your organization will also be notified. This may impact others from your organization as well.
If the exam candidate faces any issues during an exam and reports it to the certification team, the team will analyze the situation and provide a fair solution to them.
We continuously work on the feedback we receive from our exam candidates to improve the certification experience.
