Akash Nankani

Akash is a Software Architect and hands-on engineer focused on data and backend engineering at Moesif, now part of WSO2, based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Prior to the acquisition in 2025, Akash served as Director of Engineering at Moesif Inc., where he played a key role in delivering major product features, scaling the company through its seed and Series A funding rounds, and leading the design, development, and launch of significant product initiatives.

Before Moesif, Akash spent six years as a founder and entrepreneur, developing a Data-as-a-Subscription service along with products centered on search indexing and querying.

Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years at Microsoft, contributing to both software engineering and product management across several flagship products, including Bing Search, Subscription & Commerce SaaS, and the first release of Microsoft Exchange Conferencing Server.

Akash holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California and an MBA from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

In his spare time, he enjoys exploring new places and occasionally experiments with growing produce in his backyard.
