Ashan Rathnaweera

Ashan is a Senior Software Engineer based in our office in Colombo.

Before he joined WSO2, Ashan worked as a Research Intern at the Cognitive Systems and Time Series Lab, UCSC. He was responsible for developing a language-independent method for cover song identification using textual data of songs.

Ashan has a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka.

His excellent academic record and notable achievements in national and international competitions set him apart, including representing Sri Lanka at the International Olympiad in Informatics on three occasions. In his spare time, Ashan enjoys traveling, watching movies, and playing chess.
