Chirantha Kurukulasuriya

Chirantha is a Software Engineer based in our office in Colombo.

Before he joined WSO2, Chirantha worked as an Electronic Engineering Intern at Electroteks NZ Limited. He was responsible for designing a reconfigurable fast-charging supercapacitor circuit for powering up drones in-flight.

Chirantha has a BSc Eng (Hons) in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

During his University years, he won several awards in notable competitions like the Microsoft Imagine Cup. In his final-year project (Doppler Radar-Based Drone Detection in Dense Urban Environments) he designed and fabricated the antenna system for radar signals and contributed to coding the signal processing chain and the user interface.

In his spare time, Chirantha enjoys traveling, playing drums, watching anime, working out, and learning new things.
