Hasitha is a Technical Lead at WSO2. He has been part of the Message Broker team since he joined in December 2011.
Before joining WSO2 hasitha was an intern of Virtusa cooperation where he was involved in a project developing an application for Rehabilitation Information Management for Commissioner General of Rehabilitation, Sri Lanka.
He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
For his final year project at the university Hasitha led the team developing a system which was capable of deriving music notes and MIDI file out of a given music recording using signal processing techniques and neural networks. It won a special recognition under the tertiary category at the National Best Quality ICT Awards 2011 organized by BCS Sri Lanka and won the "Best Undergraduate Project - 2011" organized by IESL.
He is an expert in the areas of AMQP, JMS and asynchronous messaging technologies. He has been a consultant for several customers on behalf of WSO2 specially on products like WSO2 ESB, WSO2 Message Broker and WSO2 Data Services Server. He holds a fair knowledge of the WSO2 platform and has experience on how to leverage capabilities of the platform to suit customer use cases.
Hasitha is keen on research and development in the areas of asynchronous messaging, messaging reliability and no SQL databases and big data concepts for performance.
Hasitha is also interested in developing Android applications in his leisure time as a hobby. He also likes to watch TV series, read books and take photographs.
