Imalsha Puranegedara

Imalsha is a Software Engineer based in our Colombo office.

Before joining WSO2 full-time, he worked as a Trainee Software Engineer at the company, where he was responsible for designing and developing the app-to-app authentication flow in the WSO2 Open Banking 3.0 Accelerator.

Imalsha holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. For his final year project, he developed a novel architecture to enhance low-resource language understanding by leveraging all hidden states of a multilingual encoder—enabling improved performance in cross-lingual NLP tasks, particularly in zero-shot scenarios.

In his free time, Imalsha enjoys playing badminton and watching TV series.
