Jean Philippe-Vattan

Jean-Philippe is an Enterprise Account Executive based in Paris.

Before joining WSO2, he worked at Apptio (an IBM company) as an Enterprise Account Executive, where he focused on IT Financial Management, FinOps & Cloud Cost Management, and Agile Portfolio Management. Prior to that, he held roles at various companies offering diverse solutions, including AI platforms, CRM, BI, ITSM, infrastructure management, and LIMS.

Jean-Philippe is a trained chemical engineer, having graduated from SIGMA in Clermont-Ferrand, France. His first professional role was in food science — specifically, converting green olives into black ones. He even published a paper on the topic: “Kinetic study at different pH values of the oxidation process to produce ripe olives”

Outside of work, he enjoys high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and fast-paced hiking. In 2003, he completed one of the four routes of the Camino de Santiago, walking over 1,100 miles.

As a teenager, Jean-Philippe also had a passion for the Rubik’s Cube — so much so that he and a friend invented their own solving method.
