João Kuntz

João is a Lead Sales Engineer based in our São Paulo office, focused on driving technology evaluations and providing technical leadership throughout the sales and project lifecycles.

Before joining WSO2, João served as a Software Architect at Nestlé, where he defined engineering standards, validated complex cloud and security architectures, and led cross-functional governance to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Prior to that, he led engineering teams on global sales automation projects, providing architectural direction, ensuring technical quality, and delivering scalable platforms tailored to diverse market needs.

João holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Santa Cecília, where he specialized in computer vision for mechanical process automation. He also holds postgraduate diplomas in Software Architecture and Software Quality Engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.

With international experience across multiple countries, João has led onsite projects in Mexico and Greece. He is the author of a book on blockchain and teaches MBA courses on distributed architectures and smart contract development. A polyglot, he brings a global perspective to both his work and collaborations.

Outside of work, João enjoys traveling and spending time with his dog and cat.
