Nipuna Fernando

Nipuna is a Senior Software Engineer based in Colombo.

Previously, Nipuna was a Software Engineering Intern in the Ballerina team, where he was responsible for expanding the Ballerina ecosystem to include TOML and YAML, enhancing the language’s package resolution, and reworking its test framework.

Nipuna has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. In his final project, he developed a parallel programming framework that was portable, performant, and developer friendly.

In his spare time, Nipuna enjoys reading, watching movies, playing sports, and learning new concepts.
