Pasindu Fernando

Pasindu is a Software Engineer in the Engineering team, based in our Colombo office.

Before joining WSO2, Pasindu worked as a researcher at the Cloudnet Research Group at the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), where he optimized a US-patented incremental system checkpointing strategy for fault-tolerant live VM migration. He also served as an undergraduate teaching assistant, teaching Foundations of Algorithms to junior batches. In addition, Pasindu interned with the WSO2 Choreo team, developing a feature that enables prototype service deployment on the Choreo platform.

Pasindu holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing.

Outside of work, Pasindu has won several inter-school and inter-university tennis championships. He enjoys playing tennis and carrom, watching movies, travelling, and exploring emerging technologies.
