Ruwan has over 14 years of industry experience in the integration software domain, working with leading customers across all verticals. He commenced his career at WSO2 in 2006 as a software engineer in the integration space and later took on the role of CTO at AdroitLogic, a Sri Lanka-based integration startup, where he was responsible for the overall technical vision and product as well as customer deliveries.
He rejoined WSO2 in 2018, and was initially responsible for ensuring the success of customers while providing technical leadership to the WSO2 Delivery Team. He later took on overall leadership of the function, providing vision for achieving customer success through all delivery channels, which included supporting subscription-based customers, delivering technology services, and maintaining managed customer deployments.
Ruwan is an elected member of the Apache Software Foundation and has contributed to open source projects, such as Apache Synapse and Apache Axis2/Web Services.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He specializes in enterprise integration solutions, distributed computing, cloud computing, SOA, programming languages, and serverless computing.
Ruwan is crazy about cars, and enjoys the adrenaline rush of high-speed driving (with caution of course)! He also enjoys music, watching movies, and travelling.
