Sameera Senarathna

Sameera is a Senior Software Engineer working in the Customer Success team, based in Colombo.

Before joining WSO2, Sameera graduated with a BSc Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. During his final year, Sameera and their colleagues achieved a significant milestone by developing an AI-based system for detecting bearing anomalies in power generation plants. This groundbreaking work was presented as Sameera's first publication at the 2023 IEEE World AI IoT Congress in Seattle, USA.

From a young age, Sameera has been actively involved in volunteering for various clubs and societies. He started as a Webmaster for their school's web team and continued his commitment to volunteer at the University of Moratuwa, where he served as the Webmaster for the SL SYW Congress 2020. In 2021, Sameera took on the role of Webmaster for the IEEE Sri Lanka Section.

In his free time, Sameera is an avid cricket player and enjoys online gaming, traveling, and staying updated with the latest developments in science and technology.
