Thisara Welmilla

Thisara is a Senior Software Engineer working on Identity Access Management (IAM) team and based in our office in Colombo.

Before she joined WSO2, Thisara worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Entgra (Pvt) Ltd. She was responsible for extending the Entgra Platform to support machine learning and computer vision.

Thisara has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. As her final year project, her team implemented a full task-oriented conversational agent for a low resource setting introducing novel techniques to utilize the reinforcement learning approaches in a low resource setting and NLU pipeline ensembling mechanism. She has published a research paper at PACLIC 34 international conference. She is a holder of basketball university colors and won the 2nd runners up in SLUG 13.

Thisara enjoys traveling, playing basketball, painting, and dancing.
