Venkatesh Vankipuram

Venkat is a Lead Sales Engineer at WSO2, focused primarily on API analytics and monetization. He is based in the Los Angeles area.

He joined WSO2 through its acquisition of Moesif, a Series A startup specializing in API analytics and monetization. At Moesif, Venkat served as Solutions Engineering Manager, playing a key role in expanding enterprise adoption of the platform. He was instrumental in securing strategic accounts—including Siemens, Oxford University Press, and Sinch—by leading complex proof-of-concept engagements, guiding customer integrations, and collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive a unified go-to-market strategy.

Before Moesif, Venkat worked at Axway as a Pre-Sales Services Architect, where he led technical sales and enterprise solution delivery for both cloud and on-premises integration products. He also spent nearly a decade at Dole Food Company as an Application Integration Manager, delivering global middleware solutions across finance, logistics, and procurement operations.

Venkat holds an MBA in General Management from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Optical Sciences from the University of New Mexico, USA.

Outside of work, Venkat enjoys spending time with his family, following cricket and other sports, hiking, and exploring the world through travel.
