Visal Vitharana

Visal is a Software Engineer based in our office in Colombo.

Prior to joining WSO2, Visal worked as a Software Engineering Intern in the Core AI Team at WSO2, where he contributed to building multiple AI-powered assistants and agents, including the AI Insights Assistant, the AI Leads Insights Dashboard, and the AI Networking Agent. He also supported various cloud-native engineering initiatives.

Visal holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Software Engineering from the University of Westminster, United Kingdom.

Visal enjoys gaming, reading books, and watching movies, particularly science fiction and crime investigation genres. He is especially interested in futuristic technologies, AI concepts, and imaginative worlds portrayed in science fiction entertainment.
