Wishula Jayathunga

Wishula is a Software Engineer focused on R&D, based in our Colombo office.

Before officially joining WSO2, she completed a competitive internship at the company, where she worked on several impactful projects. These included developing the Backoffice Application for Choreo V3, defining Event Kinds, and building the Ballerina OpenAI Audio Connector.

Wishula holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

She has demonstrated excellence both academically and professionally. In addition to her internship work on cloud infrastructure and AI integration, she has authored technical publications, participated in national-level innovation competitions, and earned certifications from institutions such as HarvardX, Cisco, and Microsoft in areas like AI, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies. Wishula has also shown strong leadership and problem-solving skills through her involvement in ambassador programs and hackathons.

Outside of work, Wishula enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and cycling.
