Yasan Punchihewa

Yasan is a Software Engineer based in our Colombo office.

He joined WSO2 as an Engineering Intern with the Micro Integrator team. During his internship, he conducted research in AI, developed and implemented AI data mapping for the Micro Integrator, and contributed to research and development on legacy data mapping migration.

Yasan holds a first-class bachelor’s degree from the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. For his final-year project, he developed an efficient system to reconstruct fragmented 3D objects, aimed at supporting archaeological preservation.

He was awarded the Gold Medal for Best Graduate in the Department of Computer Engineering in 2025 and has been featured on the Dean’s List across all semesters.

In his free time, Yasan enjoys reading, writing, and playing video games.
