Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced legal professional to take on a broad and substantive role within our global in house team. You'll handle complex contracting, compliance, regulatory, and corporate law matters with a high degree of independence, while supporting the wider legal function and contributing to how the team operates.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Review, draft, and negotiate legal contracts and documents, providing clear, commercially-grounded advice to stakeholders across the business.
- Manage your matters independently, exercising sound judgment on when to escalate and when to resolve.
- Develop a strong working understanding of the company's business model, strategic priorities, and commercial targets so your legal advice is always relevant and practical.
- Stay fluent in company policies and licensing models to handle day-to-day queries confidently and accurately.
- Research and develop solutions to legal issues in your areas of responsibility.
- Deliver consistently against team SLAs in a global, multi-timezone environment.
- Support and collaborate with the broader legal team, contributing input and assistance where needed.
Qualifications and skills
- A law degree is essential; bar qualification is an advantage (or may be required depending on location); law firm training is a plus.
- 4–5 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in a comparable in-house or commercial legal role.
- Solid domain knowledge in contracting and corporate law; compliance and regulatory experience valued.
- Knowledge of IP law, software licensing, and data protection and privacy laws is a distinct advantage.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment across time zones.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal ) with the ability to translate legal complexity into practical guidance.
- Sound judgment, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine commitment to getting things right.
