- Data & System Management: Ensure commission-related information is accurately maintained across relevant systems, including Salesforce and Spiff, and that systems are appropriately aligned with commission plans and business requirements.
- Account & Revenue Attribution: Oversee the accuracy of account, opportunity, and ownership mappings to ensure revenue and sales activity are appropriately attributed for commission purposes.
- Data Validation & Controls: Perform regular reviews, reconciliations, and validation checks to identify and address discrepancies that could impact commission calculations or payouts.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, People Operations, Finance, Salesforce/Business Systems, and other stakeholders to ensure commission processes and related data remain accurate and aligned.
- Employee Commission Administration: Coordinate commission-related activities associated with employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, role changes, compensation changes, transfers, and exits.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate commission processes, controls, and workflows as the organization scales.
- Reporting & Insights: Maintain relevant reports, trackers, and documentation and provide visibility into commission-related data, exceptions, and operational issues.
- Issue Management: Investigate commission and data-related discrepancies, coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues, and help prevent recurring errors.
- Commission Dispute Resolution & Rep Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for sales reps and account executives to review, clarify, and resolve commission inquiries, discrepancies, and payment disputes in a timely and transparent manner.
- Clawbacks & Adjustments: Manage processes for tracking, calculating, and applying commission clawbacks, manual adjustments, order cancellations, bad debt write-offs, and mid-cycle compensation revisions.
- Audit, Compliance & Payroll Sign-off Workflows: Establish and execute audit trails, internal control checks, and sign-off workflows to ensure compliance before submitting final payout files to Payroll and Finance.
