About the role
We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys building intuitive developer experiences and solving challenging technical problems.
You'll join the WSO2 Integration Business Unit and work on developer-facing products and tools used to build modern integrations, APIs, workflows, and AI-powered applications.
This role is particularly suited to someone with strong TypeScript and front-end engineering skills, who enjoys building polished user experiences and cares about usability, performance, and overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply working knowledge of the relevant technology domains, programming languages, and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Design and build solutions that fit the overall architecture and meet system goals for performance, security, scalability, and code quality.
- Think through edge cases and the wider system context when implementing features.
- Estimate effort for your areas of work and deliver on schedule.
- Identify user stories for the product and document them following the team's process.
- Take ownership of your functional areas and other parts of the product, including researching functional and technical improvements.
- Communicate clearly in writing and in person.
- Run product demos, training sessions, and presentations.
- Take part in technical and non-technical discussions, both by email and in person.
Qualifications, Skills, and Relevant Experience
- A BSc in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent), as a fresh graduate or with 1–2 years of industry experience.
- Strong analytical skills and development skills and proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
- Good experience with React or similar modern front-end frameworks.
- Good understanding of front-end fundamentals, component-based application development, and modern web development practices.
- A good eye for UI/UX, with the ability to recognize and build clean, intuitive, and consistent user experiences.
