WSO2 Achieves AWS ISV Accelerate Status: Helping Enterprises Move AI and Modernization Initiatives into Production Faster

There is no shortage of AI experiments happening inside enterprises today. That part is no longer the challenge. The real challenge is getting those initiatives into production securely, governably, and at scale, without creating operational chaos, compliance risk, or cloud sprawl along the way. This is especially true in regulated industries where modernization efforts are colliding with the rapid adoption of AI, APIs, agents, and distributed applications.

Today, we are excited to announce that WSO2 has achieved AWS ISV Accelerate Status. This designation recognizes AWS Partners that meet AWS technical validation standards and demonstrate proven customer success on AWS. More practically, it strengthens how WSO2 and AWS work together to help customers modernize applications, govern AI adoption, and accelerate production deployments on AWS.

From AI experimentation to enterprise operations

Modernization efforts are colliding head-on with the rapid adoption of AI. Enterprises are simultaneously trying to modernize applications, expose APIs securely, integrate distributed systems and operationalize AI workloads often across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Many companies have already adopted services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon EKS, serverless architectures, and modern cloud-native development practices. But operationalizing these technologies across the enterprise introduces new challenges:

  • How do you govern AI usage consistently?
  • How do you secure APIs and agent interactions?
  • How do you modernize legacy systems without slowing delivery?
  • How do you maintain visibility and control across hybrid and multi-cloud environments?
  • How do you move from isolated AI pilots to production-grade enterprise systems?

WSO2 helps customers address these challenges by providing a unified platform for API management, identity and access management, integration, and AI governance, all running on AWS. Through AWS ISV Accelerate, AWS sellers can now more directly engage with WSO2 on validated customer opportunities, helping enterprises accelerate deployments with greater confidence.

Building the trusted AI governance layer on AWS

The next major enterprise challenge isn't adopting AI. It's governing it.  As organizations deploy AI-powered applications, agents, APIs, and integrations, they need a trusted control plane that governs:

  • Identity and access
  • API exposure and security
  • AI model interactions
  • Data movement and integration
  • Policy enforcement
  • Observability and compliance

This is where WSO2 and AWS align strongly. Together, we help organizations build modern digital platforms on AWS while maintaining governance, security, and operational consistency across the entire application and AI lifecycle. Whether customers are modernizing APIs onto AWS, building AI-powered applications with Bedrock, deploying Kubernetes workloads on EKS, or enabling secure integrations across distributed systems, WSO2 helps provide the governance and runtime capabilities needed to scale confidently.

What this means if you're running AI at enterprise scale

The combination of WSO2 and AWS is particularly relevant in industries where governance and compliance requirements aren't optional, such as financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and the public sector among them. For teams operating in these environments, innovation only moves as fast as governance allows. With WSO2 and AWS, customers can:

  • Accelerate application modernization initiatives
  • Secure and govern AI-driven architectures
  • Standardize API and identity governance across teams
  • Deploy cloud-native applications faster
  • Reduce operational complexity in hybrid environments
  • Align procurement through AWS Marketplace and cloud commitments
  • Engage jointly with AWS and WSO2 teams on validated solutions

A Milestone, not a destination

Achieving AWS ISV Accelerate status reflects WSO2's continued investment in building deeper alignment with AWS around cloud modernization, AI governance, and enterprise platform engineering. It's an important marker, but it's more a sign of direction than a finish line.

Our focus areas moving forward include  AI governance and agentic architectures, cloud native modernization, API and identity security, marketplace and co-sell initiatives, industry-specific solution development, and developer and platform engineering experiences.

The enterprises that win the next phase of AI adoption won't simply be the ones that ran the most experiments. They'll be the ones that figured out how to operationalize AI securely, govern it effectively, and scale it confidently, in production, not just in pilots. That's the problem WSO2 and AWS are working on together.
