The Winners of the WSO2 Certified Employee of the Year 2024

We are excited to celebrate the exceptional achievements of WSO2’s top performers in our Certified Employee of the Year competition. This prestigious contest, now in its fourth year, was first introduced in 2021 and continued successfully through 2022 and 2023. The competition shines a spotlight on our employees' relentless commitment by recognizing those who have earned the highest number of certifications in 2024.

The Winner - Janitha Senevirathna

Janitha claimed the top spot this year, earning an impressive total of 23 certifications! His achievements include 6 expert certifications, 1 solutions architect certification, 7 developer certifications, 4 sales professional certifications, and 5 practitioner certifications.

Janitha serves as an Associate Technical Lead within WSO2’s Customer Success Team, where he has been making invaluable contributions for nearly six years. Before joining WSO2, Janitha honed his expertise over three years in software development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Curtin University, Australia.

Outside of work, Janitha enjoys digital photography, gaming, and singing his heart out during shower concerts.

1st Runners-Up - Dilshan Fardil

Dilshan achieved an admirable 21 certifications this year, including 3 expert certifications, 7 developer certifications, 4 sales professional certifications, and 7 practitioner certifications.

Currently, Dilshan is a Senior Software Engineer in WSO2’s Customer Success Team, contributing over 2.5 years of dedicated service. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.

1st Runners-Up - Chandima Abeysinghe

Chandima also achieved an impressive 21 certifications, culminating with 3 expert certifications, 1 solutions architect certification, 7 developer certifications, 4 sales professional certifications, and 6 practitioner certifications.

He serves as a Senior Software Engineer on the Customer Success Team, where he has been a vital asset since 2021. Chandima’s connection with WSO2 began with an internal internship, which deepened his technical skills and knowledge of the organization. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

When not working, Chandima enjoys immersing himself in music, watching movies, and exploring a variety of TV shows.
