If your business is more than five years old, you likely have legacy applications in your environment. Legacy is often a derogatory term that is applied to those applications that no longer fit the current architectural paradigms. To the technology organization they represent anything that can be difficult to maintain, uses a framework that is no longer en vogue, or might simply be code someone else wrote. To the business owners, legacy applications are the work horses that powered the growth of your business but may also be the very thing holding it back. Its time to let go! In this session we will review lessons learned from Liquidity Services’ recent migration from traditional infrastructure to a serverless architecture for their flagship marketplace, GovDeals.com as well as the road ahead as they continue their journey.
