Design an Enterprise API Management Architecture
APIs are a critical foundation for modern digital ecosystems, connecting systems, partners, and customers across diverse environments. As enterprises expand their API landscapes, designing an effective API management architecture becomes essential to achieve security, scalability, and flexibility.
This session provides practical guidance for designing enterprise API management solutions using WSO2 API Manager and Bijira. We’ll examine deployment models across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, and discuss key architectural considerations including multi-tenancy, federated gateways, high availability, and multi-region deployments.
A significant part of the session will focus on extending API management to support AI agents. We’ll cover how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) allows APIs to function as tools for AI agents and how Bijira simplifies exposing APIs as MCP servers while maintaining security, governance, and smooth integration with AI workflows. The session will also introduce the MCP Hub, Bijira’s dedicated portal for AI agents to discover and connect with MCP servers effectively.
Through live demos and real-world examples, you’ll gain practical knowledge for designing API architectures that support both traditional integrations and emerging AI-driven use cases.
