This session explores how Alexforbes built a cloud-native integration platform using WSO2 API Manager and Micro Integrator on Kubernetes to support a highly regulated financial services environment. The platform ensures data sovereignty while delivering the scalability, resilience and operational benefits of a cloud-native architecture, with the flexibility to run selected services in the cloud or on-prem as required.
Through two real-world case studies—the introduction of South Africa's Two-Pot Retirement System and the rapid enablement of an enterprise AI platform—we demonstrate how the platform enabled governed and resilient delivery within weeks. We also share practical lessons from operating a platform processing five million API requests daily, covering observability, automation, rate limiting, governance and rapid Kubernetes patching for operational resilience.
