Modernizing Enterprise Architecture to Unlock Agents
Every enterprise has an agent demo by now. Almost none have an agent in production. Agent pilots are not seeing the light of day in production, not because the models aren't good enough, but because the architecture underneath them isn't ready.
This talk will discuss a composite enterprise, many in the room will recognise: a team that wired an LLM into a handful of internal APIs, wowed a room with a demo, and then watched the project stall. Not because the idea was wrong, but because architectural cracks that stayed hidden at proof-of-concept scale became impossible to ignore in production.
The good news is, that these architectural cracks revolve around disciplines most enterprises have already solved, yet need to be extended to a new kind of caller, the AI Agent. Attendees will leave with a practical reference architecture and a crawl-walk-run roadmap for modernising incrementally, so the next agent use case takes weeks instead of quarters.

Vidura is Global Head of Sales Engineering at WSO2. He is an experienced technologist and an executive with over 30 years of global experience in the software industry, having worked in the US, Europe, Australia, and Sri Lanka. Vidura leads the Sales Engineering efforts at WSO2, where his team works with customers to design solutions to meet customer requirements and solve their business problems. He is also responsible for shaping the technical direction of the WSO2 platform, addressing customer needs. Vidura collaborates with global customers to craft strategic roadmaps, offering technical guidance and architecture strategies for digital and AI experiences. Before joining Sales Engineering, Vidura led many of the Engineering teams at WSO2 as Senior Director of Engineering. He brings deep expertise building enterprise solutions across finance, logistics, aviation, and energy. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from RMIT University, Australia.
