Standardizing Access Across B2B Services
As digital services expand beyond individual users to serve businesses, partners, agencies, distributors, and other organizations, identity becomes more than simply answering, “Who is this user?”
B2B services must also understand which organization a user represents, the relationship that organization has with the service provider, and what authority has been delegated to the user.
This session explores the core concepts behind B2B IAM and the business scenarios it enables across financial services, public-sector platforms, telecom ecosystems, SaaS, and other multi-organization digital services. We will look at the capabilities required to support these models, including organization management, delegated administration, enterprise federation, lifecycle management, organization-aware authorization, and governance.
The session will also examine an important architectural decision: when should these capabilities be built into an application, and when should they be provided by a dedicated identity platform?
As AI agents begin acting on behalf of people and businesses, organizational context, delegated authority, and accountability become even more critical. We’ll close by exploring how B2B IAM can help enable these agentic experiences.
