Bio Jeremy Schneider

Johanna Barzen is working on interdisciplinary research in the fields of computer science, digital humanities, and quantum computing. As postdoc and senior researcher at University of Stuttgart, she is the lead of the research area Quantum Computing & Digital Humanities at the Institute of Architecture of Application Systems (IAAS) and is internationally active e.g. as visiting scientist at TU Vienna or organizer of several international conferences and workshops. During the past ten years she developed the MUSE method as well as the supporting tool chain aiming at identifying costume patter languages in films. Ongoing research on (quantum) machine learning is currently improving the analysis of MUSE data through classical and quantum approaches. She studied media science, musicology and phonetics at the University of Cologne and gained first practical experience while working for some major television channels like WDR and RTL. Next to this she studied costume design at the ifs (international film school Cologne) and worked in several film productions in the costume department in different roles.

Amy Bingham is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Pekin Insurance, a U.S.-based provider of personal, commercial, and life insurance products. In this role, she is responsible for technology research and development, application modernization, AI and data strategies, and IT infrastructure and operations. Amy plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and developing technology strategies that align with the company’s mission to deliver exceptional insurance products and services. Her strategic vision and commitment to leveraging technology to optimize business performance have been instrumental in positioning Pekin Insurance for sustained success in an increasingly digital landscape.

With over 24 years of IT experience in the insurance industry, Amy has worked with Fortune 50 and mid-sized carriers, gaining a wealth of expertise in digital transformation and modernization. Throughout her career, she has successfully led initiatives that advanced internal, customer, and agent-facing technology solutions, driving significant improvements in operational efficiency and user experience. Amy has a passion for building high performing teams, supporting DE&I initiatives, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Bio Jonathan Pearl

Rania Khalaf is Chief AI Officer at WSO2 and a global AI and cloud leader with a track record of driving innovation and building diverse, high-performing teams. Previously, she was CIO and Chief Data Officer at Inari, where she built data and AI-driven capabilities for food security and sustainability. As Director of AI Engineering and Distinguished Scientist at IBM Research, she advanced AI and cloud innovations, delivering them into open source, and to products in Watson and the IBM Cloud. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from MIT and a PhD from the University of Stuttgart. Rania serves on academic and industry boards, driving impact in AI, sustainability, and education.

Isabelle began her career nearly three decades ago in France as a C developer at IBM, working on cutting-edge networking technologies. Her passion for problem-solving and technical evangelism quickly led her to roles that spanned the globe, where she supported customers in both presales and professional services roles. Since then, Isabelle has consistently been at the forefront of technological evolution, from the pioneering era of e-business through the shift toward cloud computing, microservices and Kubernetes.

As the founder CTO of 42Crunch, Isabelle used her deep expertise into creating a platform that empowers developers to build secure APIS. At WSO2, she brings her experience to enhance the developer journey across the company’s diverse portfolio.

Asanka's goal is to connect humans and technology by educating the community and helping organizations become digitally driven. Despite having high-level technical objectives, he truly enjoys writing code. He shares his knowledge on various technical topics by creating content like articles, blogs, and podcasts to educate the community. Additionally, he engages with the community through speaking engagements and conducting workshops. He strives to be a trusted advocate for digital strategists, helping enterprises transform into digital-driven organizations. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has gained valuable insights into designing and implementing highly scalable distributed systems, microservice architectures, and business integration solutions. His areas of specialization include application architecture and development using modern programming technologies.

Anupama Sharma is a highly experienced expert in API management and solutions with over 11 years of industry experience. She has helped numerous organizations streamline their API operations and optimize their digital transformation strategies. She specializes in designing and implementing API management solutions that enable the smooth integration of different systems and technologies. She is proficient in various API management platforms and tools, including WSO2, Apigee, and Kong. Glenn is a change agent for enterprise architecture, development, integration and data enablement, staff development, usage of innovative and emerging technologies. Glenn has held various technical/leadership roles in his 30 full-time years at Ohio State where he has led or participated in some of the university's most impactful efforts.

Jürg Bio

Kamidu Sachith Punchihewa, originally from Sri Lanka and currently residing in The Netherlands, holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Software Engineering. With over 11 years of experience in the middleware domain specializing in open-source technologies, Kamidu is an Integration and API Security Specialist at Nationale-Nederlanden. Previously part of the WSO2 family, Kamidu now leads platform architecture and productization of API Management. As a Solution Architect, Kamidu provides developer guidance and advocacy, ensuring solutions are designed securely and with high performance and low latency.

Kristen has over 20 years of experience in IT with expertise in Infrastructure, Data, IT Service Management, Quality, Agile, and Product Management disciplines. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Information Systems (MIS). Additionally, she has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in Management (AIM), Associate Life Management Institute (ALMI), and Associate in Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) designations. She also holds certifications as an AWS Cloud Practitioner and Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE).

Matthias Bio

As the Stream Head of Digital Solutions Delivery at Jazz, I have driven digital transformation and innovation in Pakistan's leading telecom for over five years. My expertise includes designing and implementing BSS solutions, self-service applications, and integrating Jazz services across digital platforms. I have led the cloud migration of self-service channels, fortified the API layer, and spearheaded chatbot and RPA initiatives. My goal is to leverage my skills in system integration, microservices, and cloud computing to enhance business value, delivering impactful digital solutions.

Nenad Jevdjenic is a software developer with over 15 years of experience. His focus is on Java backend development and integration with web services and APIs. He has been working with WSO2 products since 2016.

Per Nordanlind is a Solution Architect at Bolagsverket, specializing in application modernization and the implementation of target architecture for the organization. His work focuses on services related to information provisioning, including customer APIs and the development of a new IT platform tailored for these needs. With over 12 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Per has spent the past four years at Bolagsverket, driving innovation in API design and integration. Anupama is currently leading the development initiatives for the Ballerina Language from her base in Austin, Texas. With over 12 years of experience in the software industry, she has made significant contributions to the Ballerina programming language. Before her current role, Anupama worked as a C++ engineer for five years. She also contributes to DZone, InfoQ, and Medium, and frequently presents at international conferences.

Before he joined WSO2, Binura worked as a senior software architect at Platformer Cloud, Australia. His main focus at Platformer was around building distributed, cloud native solutions as part of the company’s product suite and for external clients. He has led multiple developments and infrastructure-related projects spanning a range of domains from Kubernetes, Cloud, ML/analytics, IoT, and financial services. He is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), and also a certified Google Cloud Professional Architect. He now leads the engineering team for the DevOps vertical within Choreo.

Chathura Kulasinghe is currently leading the Solutions Architecture (SA) team in the UK at WSO2. Since 2012, he has been supporting WSO2 customers, prospects, and partners while working closely with Sales and Customer Success teams. Chathura brings a background in full-stack software development within the banking industry, with expertise in IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft technologies, as well as experience as a solutions engineer during his tenure at Twilio. In addition to his regular Solutions Architecture activities, he enjoys simplifying complex solutions to connect diverse audiences together through diagrams and storytelling. One of his key goals is to study the unique requirements of various business domains and serve as a trusted advisor, guiding individuals in identifying effective designs and patterns for building solutions while continuously expanding his expertise in those specific domains.

Prior to joining WSO2, Chris worked for one of the largest UK government departments delivering digital platforms and services for its citizens and building critical software and systems. Chris has over 25 years of experience in software design, development, solution and enterprise architecture and operations for large-scale enterprises. He works with enterprises across the globe to help them design and implement platforms and API/integration architectures that help these enterprises to produce world-class digital experiences.

In his role, Geethika is responsible for the overall operations of WSO2’s IAM business unit with a special focus on its go-to-market strategies. Since joining WSO2 in 2011, he has contributed to the company’s revenue growth in a number of roles, first focussed on the North American market, and now globally.

Godwin is a solution architect at WSO2, specializing in the design and implementation of robust and secure Identity and access management (IAM) platforms. He works closely with global solution architecture (SA) teams and partners to help organizations to build scalable and efficient IAM solutions that meet their security and compliance needs. Prior to joining WSO2, Godwin worked as a co-founder/engineer at a startup, where he was responsible for designing and developing augmented reality and smart card based solutions. He is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).

Janak is a Technical Lead at WSO2, specializing in the design and development of WSO2's Identity and Access Management products. With over six years of experience in the IAM domain, he is dedicated to building secure, scalable, and user-centric systems that empower organizations to deliver seamless digital experiences. As the lead for authentication and registration within the IAM team, Janak plays a pivotal role in enhancing the product to address evolving security and usability challenges. His passion lies in advancing IAM technologies to help organizations thrive in the digital era.

Johann heads solutions architecture for IAM at WSO2. In his role he is responsible for enabling WSO2's regional sales teams and partners to build and deploy successful IAM solutions. He also continues to work with customers globally on solving their IAM challenges. He was previously the product lead for WSO2 Identity Server, where he was responsible for the product’s roadmap and architecture. Johann has been a speaker at many international conferences including Gartner IAM, IDM, Heliview IAM, API Days, and WSO2Con.

Before joining WSO2, Kanchana served as the CEO of Platformer Cloud Pty Ltd. He played a key role in launching Platformer, developing its products, and leading a talented team of engineers. Kanchana was also instrumental in initiating the Kubernetes Community (CNCF-backed) in Sri Lanka and establishing Platformer as the first certified Kubernetes Certified Service and Training Provider in Sri Lanka. Prior to starting Platformer, he worked with several multinational companies in New Zealand and Australia, where he delivered various new technologies and services. He was recognized as a Distinguished Architect at EDS (New Zealand) for his leadership in the global open source community.

Lakmal Warusawithana is the senior director of cloud architecture at WSO2. He has an extensive background in open source, cloud, and DevOps technologies and served as Vice President of the Apache Stratos PaaS Project. In 2005, Lakmal co-founded thinkCube, a company at the forefront of developing next-generation Collaborative Cloud Computing products tailored for Telecom operators. He was responsible for overseeing the engineering process, with a particular focus on scalability and service delivery of thinkCube's solutions. Before co-founding thinkCube, Lakmal spent four years at ITABS, a company specializing in Linux-based server deployments with a custom, user-friendly server management interface. Lakmal is a seasoned speaker, having presented at numerous industry events including ApacheCon, CloudOpen, QCon, JaxLondon, Cloud Expo, CloudStack Collaboration Conference, and WSO2Con, as well as various tech meetups.

Mifan is a senior leader heading the Solution Architecture function, the team that handles customer technical interactions and technical selling at WSO2. Mifan also works on the solutions side of WSO2 products. He works with many large customers to define their strategic roadmap and assist with architecture strategy. Before joining WSO2, Mifan has played multiple technology leadership and advocacy roles, including as co-founder and CTO of a technology startup, and as consultant spatial and technology architect for many government and private initiatives. He was also a founding member and board director of the Sahana Software Foundation, a global foundation that created the Open Source Sahana Disaster Management System. Mifan is a frequent speaker at events globally, dabbles in music, and is a fan of the Arsenal football club.

Omindu is an associate director at WSO2, leading the product architecture for WSO2's identity and access management (IAM) products. With more than 9 years of experience in the IAM domain, he has been a key contributor in the design and development of WSO2's identity products. Moreover, Omindu has collaborated with various customers and partners to address their IAM requirements through WSO2's products. Omindu's passion lies in shaping WSO2's IAM products to empower organizations in building cost-effective and efficient IAM strategies.

Sameera Jayasoma leads the Ballerina platform architecture at WSO2, bringing over 15 years of industry experience to the forefront of technology innovation. As a pivotal figure in the design and development of the Ballerina language and platform, Sameera has not only steered its architecture but also significantly enhanced its capabilities through contributions to the Ballerina compiler and platform codebase. His expertise spans a variety of technologies, including Ballerina, Java, Go, software update managers (WUM), WSO2 Carbon Kernel, and the Ballerina compiler, contributing significantly to the evolution of the overall language platform. Sameera has made notable contributions to the community and industry, sharing his insights and knowledge at numerous conferences worldwide.

Shankar has over 20 years of experience in the technology space spanning multiple functions, including web services, cloud deployments, solutions architecture, and engineering. As the head of WSO2’s engineering team, Shankar is responsible for strategy and overall management of the function, ensuring products are developed on time and adhere to stringent quality standards.
