As our Procurement Intern, you won't just be pushing paper. You will be an active member of our dynamic Finance team, collaborating with talented professionals, and getting hands-on experience in how strategic supply chain operations make a global company leaner, faster, and more successful.
What you will learn and do:
- The strategic Iimpact: Go beyond the administrative tasks. Learn how every purchase impacts WSO2’s bottom line and discover how to identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiency.
- The art of negotiation: Shadow our procurement experts during vendor negotiations to learn how to secure the best value, terms, and pricing without compromising on quality.
- The global purchasing lifecycle: Learn the end-to-end procurement process of a global software company, from identifying departmental needs to final delivery.
- Vendor and contract management: Assist in sourcing both global and local vendors, requesting quotes, and learning how to analyze complex pricing models and contracts.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside various departments (from Engineering to Marketing) to understand their unique needs and help them operate more efficiently.
What we are looking for:
- The enthusiastic beginner: You don't need years of industry experience. We are looking for genuine curiosity, a business-savvy mindset, and a hunger to learn the strategic side of procurement.
- Educational background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Analytical and detail-oriented: You have a sharp eye for detail, a basic understanding of costs and budgets, and the ability to keep track of multiple priorities.
- Strong communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact confidently with internal teams and eventually help build relationships with external vendors.
