Building Enterprise-Ready Integration Agents
Enterprise agent initiatives rarely fail on model quality. They fail at the point where an agent must interact with production APIs, event streams, and long-running business processes. This tutorial addresses that gap directly through the WSO2 Integrator by treating integration as the foundation of agentic architecture rather than a layer added after the prototype succeeds.
Participants begin by building a Retrieval-Augmented Generation ingestion pipeline: sourcing content from enterprise systems, processing and enriching it, and preparing it for reliable retrieval at inference time. The session then moves to connecting agents to APIs, events, and existing workflows, with particular attention to preserving context across multi-step, multi-system tasks.
The latter half covers multi-agent orchestration patterns, real-time data access as an alternative to stale snapshots, and integration design principles that allow an agent estate to scale without degenerating into point-to-point sprawl. The tutorial concludes with the operational requirements that determine production readiness: governance and observability for agents operating inside enterprise systems.
Participants will leave with a working ingestion pipeline, a catalogue of reusable integration and orchestration patterns, and a practical framework for assessing where their own agentic initiatives are likely to stall.

Tharik has spent over twelve years at WSO2, starting out on the analytics team before moving to integration. Much of his development career went into Ballerina, WSO2's open-source language built for integration, and into everything around it: connecting services and APIs, securing, deploying to cloud and container platforms, and operating the result under observability and governance. He now leads the engineering team behind WSO2's integration platform.
