June 6: Enterprise Governance – The Key to Success

Governance encompasses more than technology; it also includes the people and processes that drive an organization. Therefore, having the right governance mechanisms in place to manage of these enterprise assets is critical to the success of the enterprise. This webinar will explore how organizations can use governance to manage a portfolio of services and apply policies to enterprise assets to control their behavior. It also will examine how to apply life cycle management to enterprise assets to meet expected targets, maintain relationships among assets and conduct impact analysis. Additionally, the session will review the role of governance when managing legacy systems.

Presenter Subash Chathuranga is a WSO2 software engineer and member of the WSO2 integration technologies team, who focuses on WSO2 Governance Registry. To learn more, visit https://wso2.org/library/webinars/2013/06/enterprise-governance-key-to-success.

June 11: Introducing WSO2 Governance Registry 4.5

Without a proper governance solution in place, enterprises often struggle with reduced transparency between teams, greater complexity in managing artifacts, and ultimately a decreased return on investment (ROI). This webinar will introduce the latest release of WSO2 Governance Registry, version 4.5, which provides a sophisticated governance toolset that can be used for both design-time governance and runtime-governance. The session will begin with a quick review of the core capabilities and then will examine new features, such as the new configurable governance management user interface (UI) based on the Registry Extension Type (RXT), along with regular expression-based validations for RXT. Additionally, the webinar will discuss hot deployment of governance artifacts, new fields for governance artifacts, and user approval and auditing functionality for life cycle operations.

Presenting the webinar will be Chandana Napagoda, WSO2 senior software engineer and a member of the WSO2 integration technologies team, who focuses on WSO2 Governance Registry. To learn more, visit https://wso2.org/library/webinars/2013/06/introducing-wso2-governance-registry..

June 18: Managing ESB Artifacts with the WSO2 Governance Registry

Today, enterprise service bus (ESB) assets are used by various systems across different environments, often making them difficult to manage. This webinar will demonstrate how organizations can effectively manage ESB assets by using WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus and WSO2 Governance Registry together. The session will examine how to define the life cycle state and promote or demote the ESB assets in-between these states. The webinar also will discuss the importance of having a checklist during the state transition of assets. Additionally, the session will present an example of an ESB asset and its state transition.

Jointly presenting the webinar will be Sriragu Arudsothy, WSO2 senior software engineer, and Eranda Sooriyabandara, WSO2 software engineer, who are both members of the WSO2 integration technologies team focusing on the WSO2 Governance Registry. June 25: Addressing Security Concerns with WSO2 Governance Registry Policy Store

Facing a range of potential security breeches, enterprises need to enforce structured policies within networked environments to protect and manage access to their organizational assets. This webinar will explore common business security concerns and how WSO2 Governance Registry addresses them by serving as a central repository to store policies. The session will discuss the importance of policies to restrict access. It also will present a sample policy file and its elements, and discuss how WSO2 Governance Registry enables WSO2 Identity Server and WSO2 ESB to enforce policies in design-time and runtime. Additionally, the session will present a sample scenario where the WSO2 Governance Registry can be used as a policy store.
