Ashen Weerathunga

Ashen Weerathunga is a Senior Technical Lead at WSO2.

Prior to commencing full-time work, Ashen completed his internship at WSO2, where he was responsible for implementing the anomaly detection feature for WSO2 Machine Learner. He holds a Bachelor of Science (special) degree in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is a finalist of the Bachelor of Information Technology (external) degree from University of Colombo, School of Computing. For his final year research he worked on a convolutional neural networks based approach for Sinhala speech recognition.

He enjoys watching cricket and movies, playing video games, and creative designing.
