Apogee wanted to automate creating service requests and managing customers. The company required a solution to enable an industry-standard, secure communication mechanism to enhance service offerings and reduce delivery delays.
Apogee experimented with a number of on-premises options but found them to be either too expensive or feature deficient to meet the company’s needs. In comparison with functionality and price, WSO2 was the clear winner.
Solution
Apogee has been using WSO2 products for nearly two years. Our offerings helped to create API products that adhered to industry-standard authentication regulations and had a guaranteed delivery system. The company used WSO2 API Manager and WSO2 Micro Integrator in a HA configuration running in an on-premises VM environment to handle inter-system APIs with an MSSQL backend.
Results
- By meeting authentication and security needs right out of the box, WSO2 allowed Apogee to meet their client requirements quicker than they could have done through internal development. With our help, Apogee was able to create a secure and reliable API solution to support and expand its customer offerings.
- Apogee was previously exclusively an API consumer, but WSO2 gave the enterprise the ability to meet the security standards required to publish its own APIs.
