Cloud Foundry (CF) is a widely used open source Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution. It was initially started by VMWare and later moved to an independent organization; Pivotal Software, Inc. Pivotal established a nonprofit software foundation for CF as a Linux Foundation collaborative project.
