WSO2 Presents Two Webinars on Extending Cloud-Native PaaS Benefits with WSO2 App Factory

Webinars on November 6-7, will examine how IT professionals can visualize operational activities and expose immediate PaaS value with the WSO2 App Factory DevOps PaaS

Palo Alto, CA – November 5, 2013 – Today, enterprises are changing the business-IT dynamic by transforming software delivery into an agile, on-demand application environment. At the same time, they are using this environment to extend business capabilities across a connected ecosystem of suppliers, channel partners, distributors and customers. This week WSO2 will present two webinars designed to help IT professionals optimize cloud-based application delivery using WSO2 App Factory, the platform as a service (PaaS) for DevOps and application life-cycle management (ALM):

  • November 6: Visualizing Operational Activities Through Dashboards
  • November 7: Cloud-Native PaaS Advantage

November 6: Visualizing Operational Activities

Enterprises now harvest and analyze massive amounts of diverse data to support decision-making; the challenge is presenting data in a meaningful way. This webinar will examine how WSO2 App Factory provides application-oriented enterprises with dashboards visualizing application delivery, including the organization resources involved and insight into different life cycle stages. It also will review the importance of metrics in an application-oriented organization, and the types of data that different users desire to monitor for course correction. Finally, the session will describe the capabilities and technology behind creating development performance dashboards in WSO2 App Factory.

Leading the session will be three members of the WSO2 App Factory team: Gayan Dhanushka, WSO2 software engineer; Shiroshica Kulatilake, WSO2 architect; and Ranga Sirwardena, WSO2 senior software engineer. The one-hour technical webinar, “Visualizing Operational Activities Through Dashboards,” will be held on Wednesday, November 6, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT. November 7: Cloud-Native PaaS Advantage

PaaS provides organizations with ready-made development and production environments that scale with user demand. However, increased scale and adoption also pose integration, security, governance, and management challenges for PaaS environments. This webinar will examine how WSO2's cloud-native architecture solves complex hybrid cloud challenges, simplifies PaaS adoption steps, and maximizes cloud benefits. It will explore key PaaS benefits and challenges, and how to best address them to expose immediate PaaS value. Additionally, it will review how WSO2 App Factory, WSO2 cloud, and WSO2 private PaaS can accelerate adoption, increase governance, and lower ownership cost.

Webinar presenter Chris Haddad is WSO2 vice president of technology evangelism, who works closely with developers, architects, and C-level executives to increase WSO2 technology adoption, improve the middleware platform, and maximize customer value. The one-hour technical webinar, “Cloud-Native PaaS Advantage,” will be held on Thursday, November 7, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PDT.
