[WSO2Con EU 2017] How API Management at Suva is Helping in Reducing Costs to Our Customers

All persons employed in Switzerland are compulsorily insured against accidents and occupational diseases, Suva is the main provider of compulsory accident insurance. With the use of API management they are not only aiming to reduce the internal costs for handling cases, but also to provide APIs to reduce the costs for customers through higher business process automation. In this session, Igor will explain some business use cases applied over the next years and also share experiences during the last year in setting up the Suva Digital Platform to production readiness. The session will share some insights into the architecture based on the first existing productive APIs for their customers.
Igor joined Suva as Senior Software Architect in 2001. He was first responsible to build up an integration framework based on JEE for integration of the mayor Suva platforms. In 2011, he was responsible to ramp up WSO2 ESB@Suva for all integration tasks within and from the outside. Since 2017, he’s assumed the role of Director Frameworks and Integration with the responsibility to support Suva’s Digital Strategy. He brings to his role more than 24 years of integration technology and management experience. Together with his team, Igor manages more than 300 APIs with a total of 35 Mio calls per month.
