APIs are the oil of the digital world. Different forms and types of APIs power the digital mesh to which we’re all connected to. The potential and reach of APIs however are heavily underutilized today in many organizations. The root cause of this seems to be the lack of a “product mindset” on APIs. Organizations that strategically invest in building a product mindset for APIs have been successful in putting themselves significantly ahead of the curve in innovation. Sanjeewa Malalgoda is an Associate Director - Engineering and Software Architect at WSO2 and also a key member of the WSO2 API Manager team since its inception. He has more than 10 years of experience in the integration and API Management domain. He spearhead architectural, research, and development aspects of WSO2 API Manager. He is a well versed consultant who has actively involved in designing and building API management solutions for WSO2 customers, including many Fortune 500 companies. He has also spoken in numerous conferences related to API management. He graduated from the University of Peradeniya and specialized in computer science and engineering.
