The first system deliver an electronic health record (EHR) that integrates distributed data sources hosted across multiple vendors and technology platforms. The EHR system collects heterogeneous information, normalizes data, and publishes a composite record as a single service. The second system delivers an accounting system, based on a BPM engine, which integrates a large ecosystem of legacy preexisting data sources. The projects represent a SOA that works. In this session, Alberto will describe lessons learned and patterns while using the WSO2 middleware platform. He will explain how the team properly designed service interface, crafted business object exchange, factored services, versioned services, and monitored the run-time environment.
