This month we give you the best of both worlds! Modern business and architecture needs—such as increased competition for customer loyalty, a desire for new revenue streams, demand for supply chain resiliency, the need to integrate legacy systems, and support for new event-driven architectures—means enterprises need a strong connection between API management and integration.
NEWSLETTER - July 2021
This is a monthly newsletter related to WSO2 and tech in general.
Hello {{Recipient.FirstName}},
Another month is upon us! At WSO2, we’ve been busy exploring new ventures and preparing for upcoming launches. This month we’ve got the numbers! The Total Economic Impact™, a commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of WSO2, examines the potential return on investment and overall financial impact enterprises can realize by deploying WSO2’s Identity Server for CIAM.
For this study, Forrester Consulting, interviewed four WSO2 Identity Server customers across industries to examine the significant return on investment (ROI) enterprises may realize by deploying WSO2 Identity Server for their CIAM requirements.
The analysis concluded that a composite organization experiences benefits of $4.51M over three years versus costs of $1.04M, adding up to a net present value (NPV) of $3.46M and an ROI of 332% by implementing WSO2 Identity Server.

Our co-founder, Sanjiva Weerawarana, recently spoke to Echelon on why building products matters and the importance of encouraging local talent.
Consumer onboarding is one of the, if not the most, important functions of a customer identity and access management (CIAM) solution. An overly complicated onboarding workflow significantly detracts from the consumer experience.
The inspiration for this two-part article series comes from many customer implementations carried out by WSO2 over the past 15 years on consumer onboarding and log-in journeys in CIAM. In this article, we will discuss the most common types and flavors of consumer onboarding workflows we see in practice.
The banking sector is continually adopting modern approaches and API-led integration to optimize operations, add value, and provide enhanced customer experiences. However, these approaches should be carefully evaluated to avoid risk and ensure security. With the pandemic and several new regulations, such as open banking, pushing the need for online/digitized services even further, digital transformation is not a one-step approach, but rather an agile iterative process.
From our experience, banks that take on open banking as a disruptive growth opportunity can go beyond fulfilling the regulatory mandate, entering new markets, and creating new business models. They are also able to use this initiative to bring digital transformation to their organizations.
Enterprises worldwide are accelerating their digital transformation initiatives, with many starting years earlier than originally planned. But, too often, these initiatives are hampered by the lack of deep technical expertise required to get projects off the ground and deliver digital products and solutions. Using the Choreo iPaaS, now in public beta, developers can engineer in low-code and code simultaneously; build, test and deploy in Kubernetes; manage APIs; share them in a marketplace; and observe performance—all within hours not weeks
Choreo offers a simple, low-code way for hybrid business and development teams to build, deliver, and share sophisticated cloud native, API-driven applications without requiring the recruitment of a legion of Kubernetes and IT Ops experts.

What’s stifling digital transformation? Digital transformation remains challenging, expensive, and time-consuming. Here’s a quick three-step guide you can use to venture on your own digital transformation initiative.
With the rapid and accelerated enthusiasm towards digital transformation initiatives, iPaaS solutions have become increasingly popular. iPaaS stands for Integration Platform as a Service and facilitates developing, deploying, executing, managing, and monitoring integration processes connecting multiple endpoints.
With an iPaaS solution, external developers are not required for a company’s digital transformation efforts. Now, every company must become a software company.
Our latest set of Practitioner exams allow those who have gone through the Fundamental and Advanced training courses on the learning management system to enter the certification journey without extensive product experience.
The recent constraints on physical businesses have pushed organizations to accelerate plans to move operations to the digital world—often shrinking timelines from years to months. Companies across all sectors are increasingly leveraging the Internet to provide necessary products and services to consumers.
Within this context, customer identity and access management (CIAM) products have become critical for digital transformation initiatives. As organizations start on their CIAM journeys, it is important that they understand not just the latest trends but also the potential challenges they may have to overcome.
Even if your organization is at the point of deciding on the ideal CIAM solution or still evaluating whether to embark on a CIAM journey, you must understand what factors you should consider when making your decision.
