WSO2 follows major, minor, and patch versioning for product releases. The major version of a product serves to identify versions belonging to the same release line. (Note: The release line concept applies only to product releases occurring after March 2024. All releases before that are considered individual product releases.

WSO2 undertakes to provide support for any product version for a minimum of 3 years from its release date and after that, WSO2 eventually discontinues the product version from support services by defining an EOL date of the particular product version as stated in the below diagram titled "Product Lifecycle of Individual Product Version".
WSO2 commits to provide support for any release line (introduced from March 2024) for a minimum of 7 years from its initial product version release date.
A release line of a product will continue to evolve with new features as a set of release versions. Any major architectural change to the product would result in a new release line, paving the way to the existance of multiple active concurrent release lines for a product, as depicted in the following diagram titled "Product Release Lines".

Transition between releases within the same release line can be done seamlessly without the need for data migration (upgrade experience). However, migration efforts maybe necessary when moving between major versions (switching product versions between different release lines).
We urge all customers running those product version to upgrade to the latest supported version of the product before a particular product version comes to its Support EOL. Please keep the WSO2 Customer Success team updated through your support system about your upgrade plans for us to better assist you to complete the migration with the least business impact.

Support is available for purchase. Subscribers will be given proactive support privileges as stated on https://wso2.com/subscription
WSO2 will continue to provide the same level of support services. However, we will not offer new subscriptions to customers during this grace period. Existing customers are requested to migrate to newer versions.
Limited support will be offered only during the extended life support period for subscribers. Support will be extended only at the customer’s request. Proactive updates are limited to updates released for those specific versions. No back/forward porting from other versions will be provided unless it is a customer request, except for critical security updates. Extra costs will be charged.
Support services have been discontinued. WSO2 no longer supports this product version.
