Prior to the implementation of Consist's and WSO2's digital solution, new customers – mostly SMBs – had to fill out a form by either coming to the gas station (during hours when the station's office was open) or having a Ten Fuel representative come to the customer's place of business with a computer and a signature pad.
This previous process took a significant amount of time and effort from the Ten Fuel representatives and its consumers. As a result, the organization sought ways to make the procedure more efficient and allow it to be done remotely, especially given the health restrictions around the Coronavirus.
Consist's new digital system embeds WSO2 technologies, allowing the company to streamline operations by combining its PB digital system, Doxi digital signature system, DoxiVR virtual customer service rooms solution, and WSO2 API Manager.
Ten Fuel wanted to build a digital solution that would make joining the Ten VIP Customer Club easier and more efficient for new consumers. More than 100,000 customers can take advantage of the VIP Club's special discounts on fuel and other products.

The system – which consisted of Consist's digital solutions – had to be integrated with Ten Fuel's databases, billing system, and other core systems to allow new clients to join the VIP club utilizing the new digital process.
When a new customer fills out the digital form, the system must check and verify the customer's ID against the database to confirm that the information is correct, that the customer is not already a member of the VIP club, or that there are no issues preventing them from joining.
The system creates a completed digital PDF document that is automatically sent to an authorizations process within the organization (managers, etc.) who must approve it once the customer is verified and has completed all details – either from a remote location using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The consumer is subsequently given the authorized form to keep for future reference.
The system must update Ten Fuel's databases and a variety of essential systems after the authorization process has been granted.
As a result, one of the project's challenges was to develop a dynamic payload that would allow the system to handle any sort of data received from the organization's databases.
