This is an entry-to-mid-level role designed for a talented individual who wants to master the fundamentals of corporate finance today, with the ambition to grow into a leadership role (potentially even a CFO) within our global organization.
In this role, you will be at the heart of our financial operations. You won’t just be crunching numbers; you will be the primary contact for managing specific entity operations, gaining a 360-degree view of how a global tech leader operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Master the Financial Lifecycle: Learn and execute end-to-end accounting tasks, ensuring the integrity of WSO2’s global transactions.
- Entity Management: Act as the primary point of contact for managing specific entity financials, taking ownership of its fiscal health.
- Invoicing and Sales Ledger: Process and produce invoices according to contracted terms, solve invoicing discrepancies, and manage accounts receivable/collections.
- Payments and Purchase Ledger: Handle purchase orders, vouchers, and business expenses with technical precision while maintaining rigorous internal controls.
- Taxation and Compliance: Assist with VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and statutory reporting. You will ensure compliance for group entities, focusing on intercompany and transfer pricing (TP) agreements.
- Audit and Reporting: Support internal and external audits and help prepare data-driven insights that inform global strategy.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance from a recognized university OR a full professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICASL, or CMA).
- Experience: While we value 2+ years of relevant corporate experience, we are primarily looking for potential. We want someone who learns fast and thinks critically.
- Technical Savvy: Ability to identify gaps in financial systems and suggest automation or integration improvements.
- Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to data-driven accuracy, and a proactive "owner" mentality.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
