of WSO2 Certified Professional of the Year - 2024
Since launching our certification program in 2017, we have seen a steady increase in the number of certifications awarded each year. In 2024, we awarded over 1750 certifications to developers, sales professionals, and solutions architects.
The WSO2 Certified Professional of the Year (WCPY) contest recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to increasing WSO2 product expertise by earning a significant number of WSO2 certifications within the year and contributing to the wider community. The contest was also held in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Here are the winners for each respective region.
Europe
Waqas Ali Razzaq (Yenlo)
(9 certifications - 2 Expert, 1 Solutions Architect, 3 Developer, 2 Sales Professional, and 1 Practitioner)
Waqas is a Certified Solution Architect with over 12 years of expertise in WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Integrator, and IAM. With 22 WSO2 certifications, he specializes in API-led connectivity, zero-trust security, adaptive authentication, and hybrid cloud strategies. He has driven digital transformation across banking, fintech, telecom, manufacturing, retail, and other regulated industries.
Markus Kruger (Yenlo)
(9 certifications - 1 Expert, 1 Solution Architect, 4 Developer, 1 Sales Professional, and 2 Practitioner)
With over 12 years of experience as an Integration Specialist, Markus relocated from South Africa to the Netherlands in 2024 to join Yenlo as an Integration Consultant specializing in WSO2. He has extensive expertise across all WSO2 products, delivering integration solutions to clients in South Africa and now in Europe. He is also an advocate for automation and DevOps principles, leveraging cloud-native technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Asia Pacific
Jayana Nirmani Gunaweera (Ranga Technologies)

Jayana is currently a Software Engineer at Ranga Technologies. During her internship at WSO2, she contributed to developing a migration testing tool for WSO2 Identity Server. While completing her final year at university, she earned an impressive 12 WSO2 certifications. She also participated in Ballerina Hacktoberfest, winning in both 2023 and 2024.
Sivanayagam Vivekananthan (Chakray Consulting)

Sivanayagam is a Technical Lead at Chakray Consulting, a position he has held since 2022. With nine years of extensive experience in banking systems, IT security operations, and integration solutions, he specializes in developing and implementing solutions using WSO2 WSO2 Integrator, Micro Gateway, WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Identity Server, and Connectors for banking systems while actively providing production support. Additionally, he is involved in pre-sales activities, demonstrating integration solutions with WSO2 products.

Ricardo Osorio (Chakray Consulting)

Ricardo has been a Solutions Architect at Chakray since 2019, having started working with WSO2 in 2017 in the health sector. In his role at Chakray, he assists clients in government, telecommunications, and banking sectors in improving operations through WSO2 solutions such as WSO2 Integrator, WSO2 API Manager, and WSO2 Identity Server. Ricardo also collaborates with the sales team, conducting demos and PoCs for customer prospects.

Flaviano is a multifaceted professional with over 20 years of experience in IT. Specialized in WSO2, he holds 21 certifications and has been recognized as WSO2 Certified Professional of the Year (LATAM) for four consecutive years. As a Product Engineer, Developer and Architect, he leads teams, develops customized solutions and drives the adoption of WSO2 products in several projects.

Mohamed Ragab Ramadan is an Integration Delivery Manager at 3Pillars company in Saudi Arabia, specializing in large-scale integration projects for government and financial sectors. He led the team in delivering 2,000+ integration services using WSO2 tools and played a key role in integrating government systems with the Nafath platform, enhancing digital authentication and security via WSO2 Identity Server.

Naresh Naveendran (Techolution)
