Technology is fueling rapid changes in today’s IT infrastructure. For decades, firms relied on mainframe system architectures with hard wired applications that took months or years to update. Today, technology adoption cycles continue to evolve as virtual machines and Cloud-based solutions push system deployment times down to hours. However the way system components talk to each other and connect have been slower to change. Point-to-Point solutions are prevalent and pervasive through almost any modern infrastructure.

Organizations that once feared the idea of loosely coupled systems connected with services are now chasing the curve with the “As A Service” paradigm. Many CIOs may not even know what data is at risk when unsanctioned apps are deployed by users attempting to avoid perceived “IT delays” and “IT Costs”. What these users do not grasp is the on-going, keep-the-lights-on impact of these one-off solutions that may also duplicate existing internal functionality. What happens when the one person who knows about a service that connects to key systems leaves the organization without documenting it in a central location?

Enter the Service Registry – the tool that can solve the “As A Service” challenge and improve the supportability and reliability of the infrastructure. Well documented, easy-to-identify services with the ability to track service consumers, leads to a less complicated, more optimized infrastructure that costs less to support, significantly reducing sustainment expenses in the long run. AgilePath selected the WSO2 Governance Registry to provide this functionality and has extended the core data model to meet the needs of a key Air Force Program.

Join Kevin King of AgilePath and Senaka Fernando of WSO2 for this webinar which will cover:

  • An introduction to AgilePath.
